How far is Brazil?

If you ask any ordinary people in North America, they would say it is on the other side of the equator, just below us.

If you ask an airplane company, it would tell you, it is a 10-hour direct flight from Toronto, then another 5 hour back to Vancouver.

But if you ask my mum,

she would only say: too far.

At first I thought,

she must be measuring it by her knowledge about that place.

Or maybe,

she is measuring by her familiarity of that culture.

Humm...

No,

I know. She is measuring by the times,

I could visit home.
